The Jacob Robinson Institute and the Azrieli Center for Israel Studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev invite proposals for an international conference dedicated to Moshe Sharett (1894-1965).
We welcome proposals addressing a broad range of themes, including Sharett’s early years in the Russian and Ottoman Empires; his activities in Mandatory Palestine; his tenures as Foreign Minister and Prime Minister; his views on the Arab-Israeli conflict; his contributions to the Hebrew language and Israeli cultural life; non-Israeli perceptions of his political and diplomatic activities; and the contemporary relevance of his thought and statesmanship.
Proposals for papers should include a title, an abstract of up to 300 words, and a short bio with contact information, submitted to Dr. Eran Shlomi at eran.shlomi@mail.huji.ac.il by February 28, 2026. Participants will be provided with accommodation in Jerusalem and flight reimbursements based on budgetary considerations.
