Warm congratulations to Dr. Rebekka Grossmann for accepting a tenure track position as an Assistant Professor in History at Leiden University, Netherlands. We wish her all the best in her new position beginning in Fall 2023!

At the Robinson Institute, Rebekka investigates Jewish responses to the emerging “Third World” discourse after 1945. In addition, she has organized several fascinating events, for instance the Institute’s inaugural conference “Jewish Questions and the Global South: Between Sovereignty and Human Rights” in May 2022. Moreover, on 15.06.2023, she will co-organize a workshop on “Responding to Suffering. Sources and Approaches in the History of Humanitarianism and Human Rights”.
