Tom recently completed his doctoral studies in Jewish History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research explores the history of Zionism, antisemitism, and Israeli-diaspora relations, with a particular focus on the historical dynamics of Jewish political sovereignty and its impact on the understanding of antisemitism. His current project investigates knowledge production on antisemitism in Israel-diaspora relations between 1960 and 1988, emphasizing the debates between Israeli officials and Jewish diaspora leaders on the responsibility for addressing antisemitism, with a special focus on the role of Jacob Robinson.
